Brief Description:  Constructed engine stand.

Today I realized that I needed an engine stand since the delivery box was now totaly dismantled.
I rounded up some lumber (2x10's) that I had used to build my daughter a water bed while she was in high school. She had to help me build it by sanding an staining the bed frame that I made. I still had that frame lumber around and she is now 38 years old with three kids of her own.

I had to rip it down about 3/4" to make it sit on the floor level. I cut the boards after doing a lot of measuring while the engine and mount were still on the fuselage. I planned on leaving the mount attached to the engine so I had to make allowances for that. The engine had arrived with a steel bracket bolted to the prop hub through the starter ring gear so I used it. I pulled out some graph paper and straight edge and whipped out a drawing with measurements so I wouldn't forget them and waste material. It all took longer than I had anticipated, but what else was I going to do on a hot Saturday morning and afternoon? It all worked as planned, so next week I'll remove the engine and store it under the table and cut the firewall penetrations.

And Charlotte will get to put her car in the garage again!
