Brief Description:  Hangar rental

We got a phone call on Sunday from a friend offering to rent a space in his hangar at Georgetown, Tx. I told him we would meet him Monday at 11:00 AM to look it over. The hangar is a 1946 built quonset type that will hold up to six planes with working room. We met him and paid for the month of June letting him know that we weren't ready to move the project to the hangar yet. The price was good and that is why we went ahead and paid. It's a very long waiting list to get a hangar anywhere near Austin, TX.

By Friday, we had reconsidered and realized we were at least 6 months or more from needing a hangar. We also needed the money for some avionics for our panel. I called my friend and told him to keep that June payment but to keep me at the top of his list and give a call in six months. He replied that I could sublet the space if I could find someone that needed it for six months otherwise I would go to the bottom of his list (which is only fair). Either way I had already paid for June. I said, OK, that we were having an EAA picnic Saturday and I would canvas the group for someone that needs a temporary hangar. I've already spent the money! I know better than to ever be in a hurry!
