Brief Description: Dimpled Lower Wing Spars, Ribs, and Skins
We set up to dimple the wing skins for flush rivets by arranging the shop tables to install the DRDT-2 dimpler. I put the two tables end-to-end with the dimpler between and shimmed to the correct height. I clamp the the tables together using large sliding type clamps. This way I can store the dimpler out of the way and use the tables as necessary by not having it permenantly mounted. I used the hand squeezer to dimple the ribs and aft spar. The main spar is already countersunk on the quickbuild which saves me a lot of time.
Dimpled the aft spar and ribs using the hand squeezer. Dimpled the wing skins using the DRDT-2 dimpler. Charlotte dimpled while I maneuvered the skin holes over the die.
