Brief Description: Fabricated fuel tank vent tube.
Next on the agenda was to fabricate a fuel tank vent tube that connects just aft of the wing root fairing at the wing leading edge on the fuselage, and then connects about 7" aft on the wing inboard rib. One of my most unfavorite skills is bending aluminum tubes. I only wasted a foot of tubing and a couple of hours on my first attempt. I had to relearn how to use the bender and its calculations.
The second attempt was much better with only a couple of hand bends necessary. I finally got it to clear the fuel attach bracket and wing tab by about 1/4" for wing movement. Talk about an annoying job!!
