I had some 0.020" aluminum sheet that I was going to use as wingtip light reflectors. It was going to be a time consuming and tedious job. John had built RC model airplanes most of his life and had used a material called MonoCoat on his models. He suggested that it would make for a light weight easy to apply reflector, if only we could find some. After a little bit of driving and seaching we found MonoCoat at a hobby store. We raced home and with his experience and knowhow we had it ironed onto the wingtip cutout in a short amount of time. After trimming it with an Exacto knife it looked like a mirror.
Oh, what a little knowledge from a buddy can do to speed up a project!!
After ironing on the MonoCoat I trimmed it with an Exacto knife.
Like a mirror even with a splice.
We set the Aveo lights in & placed the lens on for show and tell.
