This morning Charlotte and I pop-riveted the SS foil to the FW sandwiching the insulation by using 3/32" SS rivets. Amazingly, all the foil's holes lined up to the holes in the FW. I thought that the pillowing might make for a lot of mismatches, but I was wrong. We did have a couple that we had to hunt but they weren't off enough to cause a problem. The #4 washer covered any enlarging of the foil holes. I pop-riveted 39 rivets in areas that the attached equipment would not apply a hold down force.
I then started attaching the removed items to start the compression of the insulation. I have all-metallic lock nuts on order but I used the nylok nuts until the metallic nuts arrive.
Attached the battery box and other items during the riveting process.
The attached items apply a hold down force and compress the insulation.
The SafeAir1 pass-through and the eyeball penetrations lined up perfectly.
