Brief Description:  Gluing zip tie mount experiments.

I decided to take a couple of zip tie mounts and remove the foam adhesive and then glue them to a piece of primed aluminum sheet. I roughed up the tie mounts with 100 grit sand paper and one area of the primed aluminum. I left the primer on the other area of the aluminum. I glued them on a let them cure overnight. I tried to pull them off with a small channel lock plier but they were held very tight.

I then added heat with a heat gun and pulled perpendicular to the glued surface. They popped off somewhere between 130 - 200 degrees F. Can't be sure of the temp since I was using a digital touch temp gauge used by HVAC technicians. The E6000 seemed to hold very well without concentrated heat applied. That's what I'll use.
