Today I ordered the materials that I need to insulate the engine side of the firewall to protect the structure and persons from an engine fire. The key points are to shut off the fuel, shut down the engine, and as quickly as possible get the aircraft on the ground.
I ordered all the parts except the hi-temp caulking from McMaster Carr over their website. They are easy to work with, and are quick with their deliveries.
