Brief Description:  Wired AMP connector/installed crotch strap kits.

I decided to crimp the Molex Mate-n-Lock pins to the stick grip wires and install them into the AMP connector. I first tinned the wires with solder but found that it made it more difficult to crimp into the barrel crimp pins. I'm not that good with solder anyway, so the next set of pins will be crimped solderless. The wires look well tinned already. The crimping is not hard just tedious because they are so small that it's hard for me to see clearly. I started with the magnifying glass until I got the feel and then did the rest with my strongest reading glasses. I had ordered the extraction tool from Mouser before I attempted the crimping and had it on hand for any insertion screw-ups. Luckily I didn't need it on this first attempt.

Before test installing the stick and connector, I figured that I had better rivet in the crocth strap kits to see how the cable would route through them. I blind riveted using the pop-rivets that came with kit. The bottom three rivets were difficult to install with the Stanely manual rivet tool, but after some pushing, pulling, and cursing I managed to set all the rivets. Not the perfect install but, Oh Well, on to the next task of the million left to do!!!
