Brief Description:  Engine control cables attached to throttle quadran

I thought that this would take abot an hour. Wrong! The biggest time eater is figuring out the order of install and what need to come off for acess. Sounds easy but... I spent too much tome trying to get clevis rod ends on to the cable ends and then on to the guadrant in place. No go! Fast farward.. I ended up taking the flap switch out and the wires were cut from the ties. Then the entire guadrant was removed and the control cables taken out. This was after a brief moment of the two cables being hooked up andf the quadrant in place before I found that the levers only went forward 1/2 way. I think the easiest way is to install the cables to the throttle quad on the bench!! You can even adjust the throw and pull from there. I dont know what will happen after uinstalled and the carb is attached but we will find out soon.
Another note: Awhile ago, I took the quadrant apart to paint and must of put the throttle lever in backwards. Hard to explain but make sure the upper attach hole which is drilled off center to the edge is narow edge forward. This so the rod end will pivit up and down enough. I found that mine was reversed and could see a problem right away. Thats when i noticed that the hole was drilled from factory more to the edge than center. After taking the quadrant apart to get this lever out and flipped around and then the handle removed and flipped to other side, the rod end works as it should. I then made sure that the ends would not interfear with one another. In the photos you will see that im cotter pining on inbd side. Thats because im not using a center lever for the prop and have the room and its easier to get to. With a center lever installed, this would not be the correct orientation due to interfearing with one another.
Once I got a handle on the process I found that the cable attach nuts need to be back on the cable as far as they will go and the rod ends need to be screwed in all the way before the levers will go for near stop to stop. The fwd stop is almost 1/4 inch short of the stop on lever
