Brief Description: panel templates for steam gauges and dynon made
No pics and not very productive today. I had planned on undoing the static line and wire run for tail ligyt and trim tab and then re routing but only managed to get the cable ties cut off and the wire pulled back out. I want to run the static line under the top longeron all the way to the panel instead of going up then down then up again. Same goes for the tail light/strobe. I need some plastic snap bushings of correct size first. I also like the idea of running the tail light wire through some conduit under the floor as others have done but I need the conduit first too.
I taped actual size pics of the Dynon D100 and D120 EFIS AND EMS to the panel and then cut out templates for the radiotransponder and the Garmin 696. Also cut a bunch of 2 1/4 inch and 3 1/8 inch round templates for various steam gauges. I struggle with what I would like to have versus what is practical for my intended need and building capability. I'm now leaning toward the older Dynon EFIS over the Skyview and adding a trutrak head slaved to Garmin 696. But the posibility of an all steam gauge panel still exists.
