Brief Description: fwd top skin-3 riviting the firewall flange
Deburred the 10 drilled holes in the top skin supprort brackets and then installed the LP4-3 rivits
Applied Firebarrier sealant between the firewall flange and the upper slin
With piano hinges installed on firewall and clecoed, I set every other rivit and then went back and finished the remaining rivits trying to apply equal pressures to each before going for the final squeeze on each to spec. This squeezes out the excess sealant which gets everywhere ofcourse and requires clean up.
I had difficulty with most every rivit not seating in the dimple very good. Probably due to the piano hinge and sealant throwing the angle of rivit shank off just enough to cause them to sit proud. I had to work each dimple to get rivits flush but still have 1/2 dozen rivits that are terrible! I will be drilling them out and redoing
