Brief Description:  Riviting the fwd top skin-2

No helper today so limited riviting was done. By the way, I ordered some cherry max CR3214-4-4 rivits from Genuine Aircraft hardware store on line. They sell in pks of 10 which is a cost saver. Other places sell only pks of 100. These will be used to rivit the area in gear tower upper longeron to top skin. No need to explain why. If your building the 8 you will know. I also bought some -3 and dash 2 incase I have other areas needing them. Ill explain more later when I start installing them.

I did manage to rivit a short row of 6 rivits in the bulkhead above rear access panel. The others are too far to reach by myself.

I then rivited the 9 rivits on each side of aft upperskin on longeron row. These can be reached from inside the cabin fairly easy and hammer alone. In my case, I had to remover the interior panels to get the bucking bar on.

Let me explain these rivits some along the longeron. The plans call for dash 6 length rivits all along the row except one dash 8 center bulk head. I had a problem with this. Dash 6 works well for only thre spots just before the gear tower. The 4 before those have an extra doubler and the dash six wont comporess to the proper head hight and diameter im told we need. Infact they almost compress flush with the metal sheet! So, I thought dash 7 would be better. All I have are dash 8 and cut the ones I needed to 7. These work ok but will easily fold fir some reason. I have two on the right side that I need to drill out and redo. Dash 6.5 might be better choice here. Just a heads up to anyone reading this.
The very first two are in the channel at center bulhead. I have that covered and rivited and only acces in thru the map light cover that I made and can remove. I believe Ill Just use cherrymax there too.

The other time eater here was that the dimples were not good enough for the rivits to sit flush. Probably due to my attempts to bend the skin edge for a tight fit or something. I dont know. Anyway, I used the cutter and microstop for all these rivits on both sides and
