Brief Description: pilot control stick length cut and fit and wire ex
First I needed a hole drilled in the control stick for the wire harness to exit before I could properly adjust stick length so i measured up from the pivit point about 1 inch and drilled a pilot hole in the center of stick facing forward ( not that it matters if its fwd facing or aft facing I think). I then slowly up drilled in steps to final 7/16 reamer. I then drilled the opening in the plastic bushing open slightly to 9/32 for the wire harness to exit. Fished the harness thru and inserted the bushing and then sat the grip in place. Installed back onto the control column and it cleared the bottom edge og panel by 1/2 inch. I feel like my thumb while resting on hat switch is just to close, so i removed it all and cut another 3/4 inch off the stick. That mahes nearly 9 inches removed from the control stick for this tolston grip.
work time recoreded on other entry with throttle today
Next work session will try to get rear stick cut down and drilled for the grip
wire harnes exiting the stick with bushing in place
pilot grip inserted in stick but not secured yet-just fitting
installed on control coulumn and clears the panel by about 1/2 inch
