Ordered and recieved these 2 rudder cable covers from Aircraft Spruce. They come slightly over sized and square. I drew some file lines to get it to fit nicer and rounded the fwd end some for that "aerodynmaic" look. I then marked the fuselage for where the skin overlap rivits are located. I taped the cover in position and then drilled #40 rivit holes around it. Removed and deburred. Clean scuff prime. Machine countersunk and rivited in place. I think this looks nicer than just that plastic tube does and it was cheap and easy mod.
Note: The plastic tube needs to be pulled threough the hole before riviting the plate on because I couldnt get it to move through after rivitting and had to drill out and do this.
