1. Traced an outline of air inlet on left skin inside and out. Drilled 4 #40 holes in the nacelle and then held it in place to mark hole location on skin. Drilled the skin and dimpled for flush head rivits. Machine countersunk the nacelle. Cut 4 small pieces of aluminum and drilled to use as reinforcements for the rivits. I will use proseal as the adheisive to attach and then rivit in place after I prep the air vent in wing so I can seal them both at same time.
2. Removed the fwd upper skin and the windscreen support. I never deburred the windscren support after drilling so I did that. I then flattened the 2 side edges that were dimpled so that I could bend the edges slightly. This should have been done prior to dimpleing but I got carried away. I wont redimple until Im sure the edges lay snug against the fuse side skins when Im ready to rivit it on much later.
Next session I plan to bend the 2 brake lines and posiibly run the tail light wire and secure. Might even start rivitting on the turtle deck
Removed paint from interior for nacelle
Back side of nacelle, drilled and 4 aluminum reinforcers
Flattening some dimples and then bending the edge some.
