Today was a 1.5 hout test flight. I still wanted high engine RPM so I deviated from the test cards I had and elected to do higher altitude flight with turns and some climbs. I also tested my Trutrak auto pilot tracking and navigation function, Both worked great. The airplane tracked a heading when activated with out having a direct to nav function in the gps. It worked great. I then entered an airport destination waypoint and then a return to starting airport in the gps nav and activated the auto pilot nav function. I had airplane trimmed for level flight so I didnt test alt hold yet. The plane took me to the next airport and then turned back and took me home. Never touched the controls. Awsome! The altitude for this test was 8000 feet msl . Speeds were 150 kts indicated and 202mph ground at times. Average fuel burn was 10.1 gal/hr with 2450 rpm and leaning.
