I first attached the wire fro aft fuse bulkhead to rudder light to the VS spar bracket and the lowwer rudder eye bolt with adel clamps. This will keep the wire from moving within the open area between the two and possibly getting jammed and limiting the full swivel of the rudder, I think this set up will prevent that.
I then cut and installed the swag chains from the tailwheel to the rudder horn as per drawing 73. This dwg says to leave 1/2 inch slack and im a bit more than that and may require removing another link from the chain on each side. Currently at 16 links per side.
Removed the gas caps and cleaned real good around the o ring until eventualy just pulling the o ring off and cleaning real good. I had too much metal slivers and specs inbedded in the area to be comfy. While I had the caps off and the rubber seals removed, I decided to sand the caps down to wet sanding of 2500 grit and then some purple polish. They look much better now!
