Brief Description: Wing Tip #14 - Glass aft wing tips
Knowing that I would be sanding down the aft end of the wingtips to make them match the trailing edge of the ailerons, I was worried that there wasn't enough structure at the aft wing tip once I remove the tip...so I set about the process of filling in the aft end of the wing tips so as to beef up the structure.
I first tried to put in a wet piece of fiberglass, but it was hard to get it into the inner most corner. But with the aft edge coming to a point there isn't much room to work back there. I did it, but then I shifted to mixing flox into the resin and using a vet syringe, was able to drizzle it exactly where I want it. I got a good layer of resin/flox laid down in both tips and then sprinkled some dry flox on top to mix in and absorb resin. I will vacuum out what is left unabsorbed.
