Brief Description:  finished right aileron

I finished up the right aileron! I installed the 406/407 brakets and torqued the bolts to 24 inch pounds - then used the torque paint to signify they were done. As you saw before, once the top skin is on, the bottom must be blind riveted. The plans also say to turn the aileron over and put weights on top of it to keep it straight while it is riveted. My thought was that the best way to keep it straight was to use something that would span the whole (or almost whole) aileron and could be set at the correct angle. The bending brake fit the bill - so I used that and clamped the aileron in, to pull the blind rivets. It worked out well. One aileron down, one to go!
