Brief Description: Smoke Oil manifold and electrical spacing
I worked on the location and orientation of the smoke oil manifold and the electrical ANLs and Shunts. As I have two alternators, there will be two ANLs to protect the circuit and two shunts to pull voltage and amperage readings from, but the question is, where to put them? I also have the manifold, where the main smoke oil hose will feed the four individual hoses, supplying the four nozzles in the four exhaust pipes.
I had pretty well decided on the vertical placement and had already gone back and made my cardboard template as small as I could to minimize the footprint when Bob suggested I make the platform bigger, puts some bends in it to raise it so I could attach nutplates to the back and make it maintenance friendly.
A great idea, so that's what I will be doing.
With the "feet" of the raised platform, I can lock into some of the present structures in the firewall - a win-win!
