There was some leftover crud from the process of fitting the landing gear fairings and I was tired of seeing it there and picking at it while working on other items. I tried different forms of "motivation" to get it to come off, but in the end, I relied on the time-tested method of sandpaper to get it removed. The landing gear is now crud-free and will get a new shot of primer on the exposed areas at some future point.
