Brief Description: Turning stuff on
After doing the indicator light wiring and installing the G-Meter, I thought, "Hmmm, I wonder if those indicator lights work?" I know a great way to find out, start "Turning stuff on!" So that's what I did. I pulled all of the breakers and then flipped the master switch "on," and for the first time, I heard a "clunk" as the battery contactor made contact. It was pretty cool! After a short time, the low volts light comes on as this battery has been sitting idle and needs a charge. I also pushed in the starter breaker and tested the starter engaged light, and it came right on as I pushed the starter button.
I also relocated the baggage light power supply to the battery bus so that I can always turn on the baggage area lighting. This is a double-edged sword, as the convenience of having the lights on the battery bus means that I can turn them on whenever I like, but if I forget to turn them off, nothing warns me that I can drain the battery. If I decide to put it back on the non-battery bus, I can easily do that. I still need to install the smoke oil pump, so I have a complete circuit to test so that one will have to wait.
