As I near the point of testing the wiring and riveting the top skin on, I am looking at what else needs to be done - and I see that the G-meter is still keeping the spot warm for the other, functioning G-meter. I went ahead and removed the broken one and replaced it with the working one. Of course, it was a non-linear path. Getting the G-meter installed required moving the panel and the avionics tray to tighten the left side washer/nut - which prompted the widening of the wire pass-thru to make more room for the Pitot/AOA tubing that will be needed. So, one thing always leads to another, but that part is done now.
