Brief Description:  Prep for LEMO plug drilling - Part 1

The LEMO plug is the type of plug used to connect the headsets to the aircraft. There is for each headset, so one for the pilot and one for the GIB/rear seater. In preparation for the LEMO plug holes that will need to be drilled in the airplane cockpit itself, the hole is oblong shaped .49" x .55" and even though I think Bob and Rob both have a .49" x .55" drill bit, they probably will not let me use it, so I will have to solve this problem myself :)

I tested and practiced on some scrap and got some good results drilling a small hole, and then drilling the hole out to 1/2" with the unibit and then using the Dremel tool and metal files, got to the .49" x .55" in two different versions and called it good for tonight as I don't want to start drill on the real thing at the end of the session.
