As the cowling was getting split with the die grinder, Walt and I found that the cowling was not prepared properly. The added epoxy and flox did not attach properly to the cowl fiberglass. As I cut through the cowling, Walt and I found that the epoxy and flox split away from everything. The cuts continued so that the lower cowl has a straight line.
