Dave Manning provided me with some steel straps that he had cut on a shear at work. These straps were clamped on the side of the cowling to provide a straight edge for splitting the sides. A 3-inch cut-off wheel was put into the die grinder. I cut both sides of cowling with Walt Halloran's help.
