Brief Description:  Set Height of Top Cowl to Spinner/Trimmed Cowl

I took the top skin off and marked off the centerlines of the rivets along the side. I then measured down about 5/8'' from those centerlines and marked the trim lines. I used the Dremel and cutoff wheel to trim the sides of the skin. I used a file to smooth the edges and then the die grinder. I used a file to taper the left edge and then the die grinder to smooth it.
With Dad's help, we marked and trimmed the aft edge of the cowling to fit next to the top skin. I drilled thru the front of the cowl to cleco a few brackets to it that overhang the prop spinner plate. With these brackets setting on the plate and the cowl clamped to the plate with the spacers, the cowl's height is set.
