Brief Description: Trimmed Fairing by Roll Bar-Photos of Gary
Working with Walt, we attempted to bend the fairing by applying force under the fairing and heating it with a heat gun. We tried this for a few hours, but found that as the fairing was heated and moved in one area caused another area to move back to an undesireable position. We decided that it would be easier and faster to trim the fairing back toward the roll bar and lay some new bids of fiberglass on top of the existing fairing with the canopy closed in place. Using a cut-off wheel in the Dremel, the fairing was trimmed back. Tape was laid on the fairing to ensure a straight line.
