Brief Description: Split Fairing over the Roll Bar and Glassed
The roll bar portion of the windshield fairing had a pucker in it when the fairing was pushed tight against the windshield/fuselage. Jeff suggested that the fairing should be split and shortened. I sanded the center area of the fairing with about a five-inch width. The area was sanded down to about half its original thickness. The fairing was cut in two and then another 1/4'' was cut out.
The fairing was placed back in place and pushed tight against the fuselage and roll bar. The fairing was then clamped. Three rectangular pieces of fiberglass were cut out and had epoxy applied. Epoxy was also applied to the fairing. The cloth was placed on the fairing.
