Brief Description:  Assisted with Windshield Fairing Alignment

Mary helped me with the alignment of the fairing around the roll bar and the fuselage. I sat in the cockpit and closed the canopy. Mary checked the fit of the canopy as it was pulled under the fairing. We marked the overhang of the fairing from the windshield edge at about 15/16". I need to check to see if this is too much of an overhang. The fairing lies very tightly against the canopy presently.

Jeff Paden and Walt Halloran came out and looked over the fairing after we had it taped down. With the fairing in position over the roll bar, the front of the fairing lies even farther away from the windshield. Jeff and Walt suggested a few options: 1-cut the front part of the fairing off, use the aft portion over the roll bar and see if the front can still be used, 2-use the aft portion and make a new layup over the front portion. A cut line was drawn on the fairing.
