Brief Description: Drilled Roll Bar Holes for #8 Screws
I sanded about 1/8'' off the lower aft sides of the windshield. This will give a 1/8-3/16'' clearance between the canopy and the windshield everywhere. I found that I had drilled the roll bar with a #30 bit, instead of a #36. That was too large for the #6 screws the plans call for. I tapped each hole with a 6-32 tap to see how that would work. The holes are too large for the screws. I drilled the holes up to #29 and then tapped them with an 8-32 tap. I drilled the windshield holes up to 5/32''.
