I primed the canopy tip-up mod stop and the side of the canopy weldment where the stop will be riveted to. I used the rivet gun and the tungsten bar to rivet the pieces together. I used a longer rivet than necessary, in order to have the shop head fill in the countersink area. After the pieces were riveted, I used the Scotchbrite wheel to level the shop head of each rivet. I placed the weldments back on the canopy rails and the frame back on the weldments. I marked the forward location for the tip-up slots at 17 1/4'' from the front of each side canopy rail. I marked off the slots to be one inch long and about an eighth inch wide. I drilled holes at each end of the slots and then, using the cutoff wheel in the Dremel, cut out the slots. I enlarged each slot as necessary to allow the stop to fit. I cleaned up the top of the slots with the die grinder and files. The canopy can now be tipped up.
