Brief Description: Drilled Canopy and Frame for Riveting
I practiced drilling holes in the plexiglass with the plexi drills and regular drill bits. I drilled the front of the canopy to the frame by starting in the top center and fanning out, left and right. I then drilled straight back down the center tube, and then started to drill the canopy to the aft bow. Shop temperature was about 85°.
Drilling Method: I drilled the hole in the canopy with a 1/8'' plexi drill bit in a cordless drill. I then used a #30 bit in the Sioux drill and placed the bit in hole and turned the bit by hand to enlarge the hole. I then drilled the hole thru the frame tube. A cleco was then placed in the hole.
