Brief Description: Attaching Screw Holes Drilled in Panel
I measured and drilled pilot holes in the three side instrument panel brackets for the screws. Clamped the brackets in place on the panel and drilled the screw holes in place. All holes were deburred. I determined the spacing for the screw holes to be the alternating center of the lengths of the brackets. Used the nutplate jig to drill the rivet holes in all three brackets. Primed all five brackets. Used the pneumatic squeezer and riveted nutplates to the left bracket. Screwed all brackets in place on the panel.
Marked the location of where the radio stack will interfere with the center rib. I drilled holes in the corners of the area to be cutout in the rib. I then used a cutoff disc in the Dremel to cut out the flange and part of the rib. The edges were then smoothed out. This area will be reinforced.
