Dave Ross, EAA Technical Counselor, came over to look at my instrument panel installation. He made a few suggestions for clamping wires to ensure that the wires are not rubbing against aluminum edges.
Dave also suggested that I run the smoke system tubing along the right side and under the armrest as I was thinking. However, he suggested that the rubber tubing be cut at the F-604 bulkhead and replaced with 3/8" aluminum tubing. The aluminum tubing will allow me to run it under the armrest and through the bulkheads more easily than with the rubber tubing.
I drilled the control cable bracket to the insturment subpanel and deburred all of the holes. I laid out the positions of five nutplates along the bottom flange of the bracket. These nutplates will allow me to use Adel clamps to stabilize the control cables.
