Brief Description: Began Cabin Heat Muff Installation
I received the latest Aircraft Spruce order and put some of the hardware away. I had ordered three brass plugs, AN913-3, to close up the primer holes in the cylinders. This was the wrong size for the hole, which is 3/8''. The diameter of the plug is about 0.662''. I'll have to get replacements. I also ordered some stop nuts, MS21042-3, for the exhaust hangers. I should have ordered the gray lubed stop nuts, instead of the ones ordered. I started to install the cabin heat muff. I spread the muff apart and pulled it onto the right exhaust. I unscrewed one clamp and rescrewed it onto the right exhaust. I bolted the last two hangers in place to join the two exhaust pipes together, with the rubber tubing and clamps.
