Brief Description:  Changed Hobbs Switch Wire to Ground

After talking with Jason-Aerotronics, I cut the power wire leaving about a three-foot length under the panel. The other end of the wire was pulled back thru the firewall and had another ring terminal crimped to it. The ground wire was screwed onto the C post on the Hobbs switch post and the yellow wire to the light was screwed onto the NO post. The ground wire was screwed onto the screw holding the Adel clamp and the oil line.

The master was turned on the panel, but the low oil pressure light still did not turn on. With Walt Halloran's help, we determined that the Hobbs switch with the normally open terminal post is the opposite of what is required. We finally took the wires off the switch and, with the panel still powered, the light came on with the two wires touching each other. That confirmed that the pressure switch was not the correct type.
