The bolts holding the flap control rods to the actuators were removed so that the flaps were hanging down. The ailerons were bolted to the wings. Both wing tips were screwed in place on the wings so that the positino of the ailerons next to the tips could be checked. A spacer was placed on the inboard bolt so that there was 1/4'' gap between the aileron and the wing tip outboard and the flap inboard.
