Brief Description:  Trimmed Rt Fwd Clevis/Notched Rt Rear Spar

Jeff and I noticed that the forward clevis of the fuselage was hitting the flange of the inner wing rib and restricting any more of the movement of the rear spar into the clevis. I removed all of the bolts from the forward spar and Jeff helped me pull the wing out.

Van's instructions state that this is possible and that up to 1/4" can be trimmed off the forward clevis. I marked 3/16" and trimmed it off with the cutoff wheel in the die grinder. The edge was smoothed off with the Scotchbrite wheel and then primed.

The right rear spar was notched like the left rear spar had been. The notch was primed. The rear spar was missing a solid rivet on the rear spar/inner rib. The rivet was set using the pneumatic squeezer.
