Brief Description: Scotchbrited Scratches/Cleaned Flaps, Elevator
In preparation for Walt Halloran painting the control surfaces in a few days, I looked over the flaps and the left elevator very closely. Some fine scratches were found, as well as some very light spots on the aluminum. I used gray and red Scotchbrite pads to clean up these spots. The die grinder with a new 1" wheel was used to get rid of a few deeper scratches. All of the surfaces were then Scotchbrited and cleaned up with MEK and then lacquer/enamel cleaner.
