Wanted to test fuel sending units before installing them in the fuel tanks. Cut four lengths of 18 gauge wire and connected battery to fuel gauge and to fuel sending unit. Did not initially ground cover plate from both fuel gauge and battery. Had ground wires connected to drill press sitting next to me. After a call to Dale Hood, got the wiring problem straightened out. Both fuel sending units and fuel gauges work perfectly.
