Brief Description:  Riveted Baffle to Right Fuel Tank/Fixed Ding

7.5-Used Scotchbrite pad in die grinder to clean up left exterior skin which was dinged during riveting on 9/11. Skin was not cut, just had been dinged up. Used a balpeen hammer to knock the highest points of the ding to a more normal position.

Clecoed baffle to right tank and checked alignment of rivet holes. Took out clecoes and checked movement of baffle into tank for clearance after Proseal would be applied. Wiped out inside of right tank and baffle with MEK. Double-checked all ribs and stiffeners for any voids and marked them for Prosealing. Mixed Proseal in a Semco tube, which was ordered previous week. Spread Proseal on all rib flanges and sides of tank for baffle flange. Added extra Proseal in each corner of the baffles. (Found later that two corners did not receive enough Proseal.) Clecoed baffle into place and then inserted rivets into holes. Riveted AD41-H solid pop rivets into baffle/rib flanges w/pop rivet tool.

Used pneumatic squeezer to rivet tank skin to baffle flanges. Rivet heads were initially pushed out above the tank skin after riveting. Reriveted and got most heads to be mostly flush with the tank skins.

Placed clamping boards on skin/baffle on both sides after riveting.
