Brief Description:  Right Tank-Riveted Inboard End Rib

Clecoed inboard end rib in position in right tank. Screwed tank cover and fuel level sending unit into position. Checked clearance and movement of float and saw no problems. Took everything apart. Inserted bushings for fuel vent line into holes in right ribs 1-4 and then inserted vent line. Found it was a few inches too long, so it was cut down to proper length and reinserted.

Wiped off Proseal on shop heads of four rivets. These had crooked rivet heads, so I placed a thin washer under rivet set and squeezed them again. This made heads flush with the skin. Applied Proseal to the shop heads. Applied Proseal to tank side of outboard end rib. Wiped down right tank skin and inboard end rib with MEK. Clamped rib in vise. Applied painter's tape to rib line. Placed Proseal on skin's rib line and rib's flanges. Wiped off tails of rivets prior to riveting. Riveted rib using pneumatic squeezer. Used hand squeezer with flat nose to squeeze rivets at leading edge. Replaced the one 3-3.5 rivet by the fuel vent with a 3-3 rivet. Used hand squeezer to rivet this also. Wiped off excess Proseal on outside tank surfaces with MEK. Cleaned off all clecoes. Made about 40 grams of Proseal.
