Brief Description: Drilled Aileron to Inboard Hinge
Measured and drilled top skin to aileron gap seal. Deburred and dimpled all holes. Drilled pilot hole in each corner of gap seal, trimmed and filed corners so that gap seal will sit properly on the hinge brackets.
Positioned and drilled left aileron to inboard hinge bracket. First used a strap duplicator to match to position of the bearing in hinge bracket. Drilled a #30 hole thru inboard ear of hinge. Cut a short length of tubing, OD 3/16", to fit into strap duplicator for drilling hole. After first hole was drilled, cut a longer length of tubing to fit thru bearing between the two ears of the bracket. Drilled the 2nd ear to #30 size. Drilled both holes to 3/16", placing a block of wood between the ears to act as a guide.
