Drilled out rivets in skin and root rib. Took skeleton out and bent rib flange in more. It did not lie properly under the skin. Riveted skin and root rib back together. Riveted most of skin and spar together using hand squeezers (deeper throat). Used -3 rivets in last holes of root rib and squeezed them with flush vice grips.
Cleaned counterbalance skin and all pieces of left elevator, except for spar and skin, w/lacquer thinner and enamel cleaner. Sprayed all parts w/acid etcher and then primed all parts.
