Made spacer .032 out of spare aluminum copying Steve Burwell's spacer. With rudder skin in jig and spar clecoed to it, clecoed R-606 reinforcement plate and R-404 rib to spar. Drilled rib to spar after lining rib up to skin bottom rivet line. Using Unibit, drilled out hole for 3/8" rod-end bearing. Clamped spacer to spar and drilled holes. Inserted rod end bearing thru everything and added rudder horn. Clamped horn into place and drilled all holes in horn. Disassembled everything. Drilled 4 holes in bottom of rudder horn. Primed R-606, spacer and rudder horn with DuPont 215S. Deburred all holes. Cut out R-410 rudder horn brace and made appropriate bends. Used tin snips and Scotchbrite wheel.
