Brief Description: Added Epoxy-Flox Slurry/BB's to Left Elevator
I took the left elevator to Jeff's house to load the forward part of the tip with epoxy-flox slurry and BB's. A 1/2" hole was drilled in the rib. The elevator was placed on its leading edge so that the tip was pointed out. A slurry of about four ounces was mixed up and poured into a syringe. The syringe was then used to squirt the slurry into the tip. About five ounces of BB's were dumped into the tip. The elevator was shaken to get the BB's to sink to the bottom. Another five ounces of slurry was mixed up and poured into the tip. The elevator was again placed in the vertical position so that the slurry would dry in the proper position.
