Brief Description: Spar Bolts/Fuel Lines-Had to be Redone
The remainder of the NAS 1306 spar bolts were tightened torqued them to 32.5 ft-lbs. One bolt was found to be missing a washer. The nut was taken off, a washer added and a new nut was used. It was retorqued to 32.5 ft-lbs. The NAS 1304 bolts were torqued to 90 in-lbs. All nuts were marked with torque seal.
Update--These torque values were found to be too high, plus an additional washer was needed on each 1306 bolt. This was corrected on 11/16/13. The correct value of torque is 240 in-lbs, or 20 ft-lbs.
The fuel lines from the wing to the fuel selector were blown out.
