Brief Description: Installed Manifold Pressure Hose and Wires
I finally found the VMP Install kit that came with the Firewall Forward kit from Van's. I had not been able to find it and ordered another hose and a bulkhead fitting. After I found it, I called Van's and cancelled the order. An AN816-4D fitting was installed in the primer hole for the #4 cylinder and had anti-seize applied to it. The hose was applied and tightened down. A pilot hole for the bulkhead fitting was drilled in the firewall and then enlarged to the appropriate size. A 4D washer was installed on the cockpit side of the fitting and the fitting and nut were tightened down. The hose was screwed onto the fitting.
The three wires for the manifold pressure sensor were run thru a snakeskin loom to keep them together. Each end had heatshrink applied to it. The terminals were crimped on the ends of the wires. The cushioned ends were also crimped. The terminals were inserted into the orange sensor plug, which was inserted into the MP sensor.
